Peanut Butter Pancakes

These are SO good and this recipe uses Bisquick(Gotta love quick biscuits) but I am currently working on a recipe that is completely from scratch. Smooth peanut butter would probably be best although I have never tried chunky so tell me how it goes. I have this wierd thing where I try to put lots of different stuff in pancakes so if anyone has any creative pancake fillers or toppers, feel free to comment!

What you need:
1 cup Bisquick mix
1 egg
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips(depending on your chocolate needs. Mine are pretty needy)

What you do:
Preheat griddle, which I think is the easiest way to make pancakes, or frying pan to about medium heat. One time I made a ton of toast on a griddle, but that is a whole other story! Mix egg, milk, and peanut butter. It may look totally nasty but when in doubt, keep whisking! Add the Bisquick when the wet stuff is all mixed. Now you can add the chocolate chips or you can sprinkle them on once your pour the batter on the griddle. Drop a plethora of dollops on the warm griddle and when they are golden, flip. When all the pancakes are fluffy and toasty pile on a plate and add a dollop of butter(yeah butter!) and eat. Bon appetit! And yes, I had to eat a bite before taking the picture : )

  1. You should post the recipe for the toast that you made! It sounds like it could be garlic? Thanks.

  3. OOOOH! Sorry, I just realized you were probably talking about the spot where I mentioned making toast on the griddle. Well, if so, here is the story:

One morning, after having a sleepover with a friend, I wanted to surprise her with pancakes so I told her to stay in a separate room and that I was making toast. Well, she was getting suspicious, so I decied to actually make toast! I just threw a bunch of slices of bread on the griddle and flipped them. It was just plain toast but it bought me a little time to make the actual pancakes, which were delicious!
